HAWKS AT THE SHELTER

HELLOOOO

I am a hawk that was curious about what was going on down at the shelter so I stopped in for a visit and posed for a picture. There were several other hawks in the pen getting a free meal. What do you have to do to get in on the smorgasboard?

MANNY THE RED TAILED HAWK

Canadian stevedoring staff found me on the side of the road beside the ocean. I had a piece of hard plastic stuck in my throat and I couldn't eat anything for days and days. I was so hungry and weak I couldn't fly anymore. It is a good thing I stopped there where they could find me because they drove me to the Wildlife Shelter where the plastic was taken out. And then did I show them how much a hungry red tailed hawk could eat. I was still a youngster and there wasn't too much out there for me to eat at that time of year so I enjoyed the free meals until the food was plentiful in the wild and then I flew away free and happy.

Hungry and weak, it was easy for me to be rescued and put in a box to be taken to the Wildlife Shelter Hawks at the Prince Rupert Wildlife Rehabilitation Shelter

Aren't I the prettiest thing you ever did see? It was really great the shelter was here to save me and give me the chance to grow up. I wouldn't be so pretty if I was dead. Hawks at the Prince Rupert Wildlife Rehabilitation Shelter
