Trip Notes:

Welcome aboard Sunchaser Charters Grizzly Bear Ecotour.

Your Skipper, Dan Wakeman

Here are a few helpful hints about the trip.

Clothing – Bring a sweater with a hood, extra socks just incase you get a boot full. It doesn’t hurt to even bring long underwear; it will keep you more comfortable while viewing bears.

Footwear – Regular runners or hiking boots are fine.

All – bedding is supplied

All - raingear, life jackets, floater coats are supplied; however, it is a good idea to bring your own personal lightweight windwear and raingear, preferably with a hood to protect you from the wind and light rain. We supply heavy-duty raingear if needed.

Please - bring your own personal towel, face cloth and soap.

Please - bring your own personal binoculars. Every participant should have their own, this is very important so you can enjoy the bears to the maximum. We suggest 7 to 10 power.

Alcoholic Beverages – Dinner wine is supplied; all other is your responsibility. Feel free to bring what you want, or let us know in advance and we will supply it on a reimbursement basis.

Baggage – Due to trip scheduling, there is a good chance you will be flown in and out of the Khutzeymateen [included in price]. We suggest you bring in only one soft bag, plus camera equipment. If you are on an extended holiday, the rest of your baggage can be left at your hotel or the floatplane base in Prince Rupert.

Cameras – Cameras with 200mm to 300mm lenses, even with a doubler and tripod will get the best results. Bring both 200 and 400asa film.

Food – If there are any special dietary requirements, please let us know.

Be – prepared to have a great time.
