Due to the wilderness, unpredictable weather, and the long distances that we travel and work in, our trip scheduling can often be different.

The 4 day, 3 night trip means that you will sleep on the yacht 3 nights and be in the Khutzeymateen Sanctuary or area for 4 calendar days or part of, but not four 24 hour days.

There are times when you will be boated in and out on the yacht. In this case you would leave Prince Rupert at 8.00am on day one and arrive approximately 7 hours later in the Khutzeymateen or about 3pm. You will spend the rest of the trip in the area and then depart the Khutzeymateen about 10.00am on day 4, and arrive back in Prince Rupert about 5pm.

There are times when you be flown in and out of the Khutzeymateen by floatplane. In this case you would leave Prince Rupert at 11.00am on day one and arrive about 12.00 noon in the Khutzeymateen. The rest of the time will be spent in the area and you would depart about noon on the 4th day, arriving back in Prince Rupert about 1.00pm.

There are also times when you will be boated in and flown out, or flown in and boated out.

In any case you will be notified which way you will be going, at least 20 days prior to departure.

Grizzly Bear Viewing

Because of our over 20 years of experience in the area, we generally have very good world class grizzly bear viewing, but please keep in mind that this is a very wild area with wild bears and that they are on their agenda, and not ours.
