Reeling Charters offers awesome fishing for huge Chinook Salmon, the mighty fighting Coho, stubborn monster Halibut, and a variety of other fish. Crab are also available year round for those seafood lovers
Spring Salmon (also known as Chinook, King)
The Chinook live from three to seven years. These fish can weigh an average of 25 - 40 pounds and can reach weights up to 100 pounds. Average-size chinooks are often known as springs in B.C. Those over 30lbs are called tyees.
Black gums and a silver, spotted tail distinguish the chinook from other salmonids. It has a lightly spotted blue-green back and is the largest, most prized game fish.
Coho Salmon
 Coho average 10 - 18 pounds. They can be real fighters when you have one on the line. Their hard hitting aggressive behavior, acrobatic displays and non-stop action make this fish an excellent target for both the novice and experienced sport fisherman. Coho have white gums, black tongues and a few spots on the upper portion of their bodies and silver-coloured tails. They have a wide tail base. Bright silver with a metallic blue dorsal surface, coho usually live for three years and grow rapidly in their final year.
Other species of salmon, which make the North Coast waters their home, include Chum, Sockeye and Pink Salmon.
Halibut
Halibut are the largest of all the flatfishes. While halibut have been recorded at depths of 3,600 feet, most are caught at depths of 90 to 900 feet. This tasty fish averages 25-50 pounds but can reach weights of up to 450 pounds. Fighting these monsters can be referred to as "Weight times Energy times wonder of unlimited proportions!"
Ling Cod
Ling’s are caught up to 60 pounds with the average being about 30-40 pounds. You will be occupied with all types of bottom fish while on your quest for that Trophy Ling Cod. The area's I fish also produce some giant yellow eye (red snapper), sea bass other rockfish.
